Our governance

At StarFlight, we recognise that what we do is equally as important as how we do it.

How we treat each other, our communities, patients, partners and suppliers, sometimes in the most distressing circumstances, speaks to how we uphold responsible and ethical practices. Our Code of Conduct is the foundation of a suite of policies, procedures and operating systems that govern our work, and the way we do it.

Our governance promotes openness and transparency within our operations and in our relationships with each other, and our stakeholders.

Conduct and culture

StarFlight believes that respectful, professional conduct furthers the company’s mission, promotes productivity, minimises disputes, and enhances the company’s safety culture and reputation.

Our Code of Conduct describes what we expect as the standards of behaviour and conduct from our employees and contractors, and others representing us, in delivering safe, high-quality services and care for co-workers, clients, customers, suppliers and the general public.

It makes clear that safety is our first priority, and speaks to our business integrity expectations.

Modern slavery

Modern slavery describes the most serious forms of exploitation including trafficking in persons, slavery, servitude, forced labour, forced marriage, debt bondage and the worst forms of child labour. These abuses can occur in all industries and sectors and distorts global markets and responsible business practices.

StarFlight and its parent companies are committed to reducing the risk that goods and services we use every day are the product of modern slavery.

We have published a Voluntary Modern Slavery Statement 2022-23 which details our actions to bring greater transparency to our supply chain, and those of our suppliers.

StarFlight acknowledges that where practicable, employees need to be able to achieve an effective balance between their work and outside-work commitments and maintain their health and wellbeing. This might include family and carer responsibilities, further education or involvement in various community organisations and activities. StarFlight supports our employees to achieve a work-life balance while also delivering on our vision.

Anti-terrorism, money laundering, shadow economy

StarFlight will work with all Australian jurisdictions to support actions against terrorism and money laundering. Shadow economy refers to dishonest and often criminal activities which take place outside tax and regulatory systems. It affects all Australians where such behaviour can reduce funds available for essential community services in Australia, like airborne medical, police and defence activities.
